After the intensity of episode 4, episodes 5-7 show our heroes taking stock, licking their wounds, and reacting to recent events – in other words, lots of footage from medbays and hospitals, intense conversations, lots of looking at maps and video screens. For the time being, it also means less weapons action, though there are a few interesting scenes.

And I’m back for the next part of my Expanse re-watch, and this is the episode when things really takes off (hence I´m only covering one episode this time, not three.) And this is a significant episode not just because we get a lot more weapons action, but because this is also when we get our first glimpse of what in my mind is one of the really major characters on the show – and it isn’t even human!

Welcome to the first recap of The Weapons of The Expanse. I started this as a personal project back in April, during the first wave of the Pandemic, sharing my scribbles with just a few colleagues. In the months since, I have yet to find any similar kind of recap/summary for the show, and with a new season coming out, I wanted to see if perhaps someone else would be interested in my ramblings as well.
